Scratch studies is part of a series of works that create sound through physical means rather than loudspeakers. Electricity— modulated by handmade electronic circuits, microcontrollers, and motors is the medium used to explore the rhythmic territory between ‘mechanical’ and ‘natural’ as the group begins to develop a ‘collective memory’ of rhythms passed from one machine to the next.
